Chapter 1

Gloria’s POV

"She's all yours now, gang rape her."

I huddled on the ground, listening as the man before me, Black Thorn Pack's Beta Damon, delivered his final orders to the Rogues.

"What happened to my sister Gabrielle will happen to you," he said, staring at me with a dark intensity, his tone tinged with a hint of bloodthirsty excitement.

"Gabrielle is my younger sister. She had always been a sweet girl. She had never been to a pub and never gone alone into the rogues’ Shadow Forest. But she was found raped and killed there.”

"Your mate Alpha Patrick and I checked Gabrielle’s phone together, and we found just before the accident, you called her. Her last message was to you and said, 'I have arrived. Where are you, Gloria?' "

Damon's eyes were filled with hatred as he glared at me.

“Damon, please hear me out. I have nothing to do with Gabrielle's death! I need to speak to Alpha Patrick. I....I've got something important to tell Alpha Patrick. Please, I need to see him," I begged.

"Shut up! You don't get to say her name!"

He loomed over me, his gaze making me feel like I was nothing but trash.

Behind him, five Rogues gleamed with excitement, their eyes fixed on me like they had found their prey.

I knew I had to fight for my life, or I would be torn apart the moment Damon left.

"My father is the Alpha of the Silver Spring Pack and I'm only here to see Alpha Patrick. Are you trying to break the peace between the packs?"

"Damn what are you stupid Whore, you're Alpha Patrick's mate and don’t you think he can sense that you're here and in danger? You fucking bitch got my sister killed just because you were jealous about Alpha Patrick’s love to my innocent sister, Alpha Patrick wants to kill you more than I do!"

He didn't linger, turning away towards the Pack house, leaving me stranded in the forest.

The five Rogues no longer held back, rushing towards me, tearing at my clothes.

As the daughter of the Silver Spring Pack’s Alpha, I have always got excellent combat training.

Normally, five Rogues wouldn't pose much of a threat to me. However, after three days and nights without food, I was weak all over, and I didn't have the strength to fight them off.

I fought with all my might against the five Rogues, longing for my mate, Alpha Patrick, to sense the danger I was in and come to my rescue.

But he didn't show up. In that moment, I couldn't help but wonder if everything was truly orchestrated by my mate.

Was he unable to kill me himself, so he sent others to humiliate me?

"Ah!" My sight grew increasingly blurry, my body engulfed in excruciating pain.

It felt as though my feet were weighed down by boulders, becoming impossible to lift.

At that moment, one of the Rogues seized my wrist, his jagged, untrimmed nails piercing deep into my flesh, drawing a long line of blood from my wrist.

Before I could react, my neck was clamped tightly by another rough, calloused hand.

A Rogue grabbed me from behind, pinning me tightly and rendering me immobile.

A hot breath sprayed onto the major artery of my neck. I knew the enemy's fangs were hovering dangerously close to my most vulnerable spot.

The third Rogue stepped forward and grabbed my legs, pulling forcefully.

I was stretched out flat on the ground, my legs spread wide apart by them. They wore lecherous smiles on their faces.

I struggled desperately, but I was weak, and with each attempt to break free, the Rogue's nails on my wrist dug deeper.

The fourth Rogue couldn't wait any longer and hastily removed his pants, exposing his grotesque manhood in front of me.

As my legs were held by two other Rogues, he approached me, moistening his repulsive erection with saliva before advancing towards my lower body.

I gave up my final struggle with a bitter smile. "Gabrielle, you were dead and I became a murderer......”

“I don't know how you died, but evidently, you were luckier than me. Your brother loved you, and Patrick loved you too..."

The world in my eyes plunged into darkness, and I felt the nauseating breath of the Rogues drawing closer.

Just as the Rogue touch my skin, I suddenly felt the strength draining from my neck, wrists, and legs.

They all released their grip on me, and I lay flat on the ground, staring blankly at the sky, unable to comprehend what had just happened.

It wasn't until I heard a set of footsteps...

It was steady and merciless, like the strikes of a death knell.

Then, I smelt the most pleasant scent in the air.

I recognized it immediately.

Then, a pair of black leather boots appeared in my sight.

It had been raining all day, but there wasn't a single dash of dirt on this pair of boots.

I immediately recognized who it was - Alpha Patrick, my mate.

My mind went blank with one question left -

Is that my death or my mate approaching?

Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Patrick’s POV

"Stay away from me!"

I gazed into the distance in the surveillance tower of the Pack House. This was where the guards patrolled to monitor the borders, allowing a view of all the boundaries of the Black Thorn Pack, including the Shadow Forest.

I couldn't tell how long I had been standing there. I watched as the woman in the distance kept kicking and pushing away the Rogues approaching her, but they continued to attack relentlessly.

Despite her petite stature, she fought like a tiger.

No rogues could get closer to her.

She was the daughter of Alpha and she kept her honor.

One after another, they got knocked out by her.

"Alpha Patrick, I have brought Gloria to the Shadow Forest as your orders.”

My returning Beta Damon stood silently by my side as we both observed the ongoing battle in the distance.

“The Alpha of the Silver Spring Pack wishes to speak with you."

I shook my glass. Upon hearing Damon's words, I shifted my gaze away from Gloria.

“Inform the Alpha of the Silver Spring Pack that he must choose between Gloria and his pack. If he wants his pack intact, then his daughter Gloria must leave.”

“Yes.”

“Then, tell the werewolf university to cancel Gloria's degree. So, she can't get a decent job in human society. She'll be employed with a high school diploma.”

“Yes.”

"And," I stared at my glass, "Send her to the werewolf prison."

Damon was shocked at my words. He raised his head and said, "Alpha Patrick?"

"She killed our girl, so I'll send her to the werewolf prison for three years. Beta Damon, do you not agree with me?"

I decided to send Gloria to prison for three years. She had no right to aspire to be my Luna, let alone harm the woman I loved.

Though the current evidence may not be sufficient to prove Gloria's guilt, I believe she is the one who killed Gabrielle.

She deserves to die from any perspective. It's just that my wolf is constantly howling in my mind, pleading not to harm his mate.

Otherwise, I would personally kill her.

"No, Alpha Patrick, you did the right thing. Thank you." Damon's eyes suddenly turned red, and he began to cry.

"If it weren't for you, Gloria would not have been punished for what she did to Gabrielle. She is from another pack, so there's nothing I can do about her."

I turned towards the window.

Gloria seemed to have lost most of her strength, her body was swaying, and I could clearly sense her growing weakness.

As I watched one Rogue grab her hand and another sneak up on her from behind, I felt a suffocating sensation, and my wolf began to grow restless.

"Save her! She is our mate!" My wolf howled loudly in my mind, relentlessly trying to seize control of my body to save Gloria.

Yet, as I witnessed her legs being forcibly parted by two Rogues, my gaze darkened.

I downed the remaining liquor and looked at the Beta standing beside me.

"Beta Damon, I'm doing this not because Gabrielle is your sister, but because Gabrielle is the woman I love,"

I spoke word by word, and once I finished, I knew there was something I had to address......

As I arrived in the Shadow Forest, the woman before me lay naked on the ground, her body devoid of intact skin.

The power of the bond made me want to tear the Rogues apart.

She stared blankly at the sky, but they lit up again only when she saw me.

"Alpha Patrick... please listen to me..." Gloria murmured with a low and almost inaudible voice.

"What have you done to Gabrielle?" I stared at her blood smeared face and asked.

"I... didn't... kill her..." Gloria whispered. She said stubbornly and met my gaze directly.

I pinched her chin. After losing my beloved, I wanted to tear apart the pride in her eyes.

"You didn't kill her. But you lured her into the Shadow Forest and disclosed her whereabouts to the rogues. They came and took turns to rape her before strangling her to death. That's what you've done to her, isn't it?"

Gloria shook her head violently.

Blood and tears ran down her head.

Some of them got on my fingers.

I withdrew my fingers and took out a handkerchief to wipe away. "I understand that you have feelings for me, Miss Carter..."

"... But I never expected that you would love me so much to have Gabrielle killed."

I continued my monologue. "You're indeed a piece of work. I shouldn't have underestimated you."

“No... It's not like that...” Gloria tried to open her mouth to scream, but she ended up choking on her own blood.

I took hold of her by grabbing her shoulders.

My fingers embedded in her flash like two giant clamps.

"Now you're trapped by me. Tell me, Miss Carter. What do you think I will do to you?"

Touching her body almost felt like setting myself on fire. I couldn't control myself, damn bond!

Like floods crushing the dike, like rain falling to the ground. No one could cut off the connection between two mated werewolves.

Gloria lifted up her head, not knowing what would happen next.

I leaned forward and my hand slid all the way down and grabbed her.

"You're really a slut, aren't you?" I said. "You like this, don't you?"

"Please don't... Don't do this to me..." She moaned in shame.

"Your body tells a different story." I said in a cold voice. "You want this. You want this so much that you'd rather kill an innocent girl."

I squeezed so hard that she screamed in pain.

"You disgust me." I stared into her eyes and said word by word.

'It should have been you.'

When she heard those words, she looked at me sharply, her face filled with shock.

"The one who should be killed is you, "

“Gloria Carter.”

Chapter 3

Chapter 3

Gloria’s POV

'It should have been you.'

My body trembles uncontrollably, and a sharp pain shoots through my chest.

Patrick turned around, revealing a cold smirk. His stiff face appeared indifferent and cruel.

He hates me because everyone believes I killed Gabrielle.

I staggered to my feet, trembling inside.

My legs were numb, so I tumbled back to the ground.

Patrick's icy voice echoed in my ears once again.

"In the name of the Mood Goddess......"

I lifted my head, gazing at the man in disbelief.

"Patrick! You can't reject me. You don't know how much I love you! Please let me explain... Please..."

Patrick paid no heed to my pleas, he simply continued with his low, chilling voice.

“I, Patrick Hammond, Alpha of Black Thorn Pack, reject Gloria Carter as my mate.”

Immediately, a tearing pain shot through my entire body. My wolf screamed in her head, "We need Patrick. Go beg him, and let go of your pride. Damn you, Gloria, go beg for his forgiveness!"

In my mind, there was a deafening buzz, sometimes feeling like an impending explosion, other times like drowning.

I looked up at the man standing before me, the one who had rejected me. He remained expressionless, as though he was facing unwanted trash.

I knew he was waiting for me to accept his rejection, but as Alpha's daughter from the Silver Spring Pack, I had my pride.

"I don't need his forgiveness, I did nothing wrong," I said to my wolf, ignoring her curses.

At that moment, I heard the inner howling of my wolf.

The pain was too overwhelming for me to handle.

I pressed my heart and spit some blood on the ground.

I thought my heart had already broken into a thousand pieces, but somehow it still managed to feel pain.

At that time, something more powerful and strong surfaced from my pain.

It was hatred.

I wiped off the blood dripping from my mouth and smirked at Patrick.

"You want to cut off the connection between us, Alpha Patrick? I'm afraid that will never happen." I said in a hissing voice.

Patrick looked shocked. He had never thought I wouldn't accept his rejection.

I stopped looking at him, closed my eyes, and immersed myself in the pain of rejection until my world plunged into darkness.

When I opened my eyes again, I was still lying on the ground in Shadow Forest. Patrick was nowhere to be seen, only Beta Damon stood nearby.

Seeing me awake, he uttered coldly,

"This is the fate you deserve for killing my sister, Gloria Carter!"

He spoke and then turned away.

I stood up shakily, dragging my soaked and exhausted body back to the Silver Spring Pack. Two uniformed werewolves were already waiting for me.

"Miss Carter, we suspect that you had something to do with Gabrielle Palmer's death. You need to come with us now."

I looked at my people, hoping someone would step up and help me, but no one stepped forward.

One of them said, "I'm sorry, Gloria. Alpha made an order this morning to banish you from our pack. You're a rogue now and we've got nothing to do with you from now on."

I shocked.

"I am innocent." I said to the people in a low voice before walking away with the uniform.

Nobody seemed to hear what I had said.

Before I was sent to the werewolf prison, I saw Patrick standing at the entrance of the werewolf council hall, waiting for me.

"Do you want to confess right now?" he asked. "I could easily ask the court to change their verdict. You'll be freed right now if you admit to killing Gabrielle."

"For a thousand times. I didn't kill Gabrielle," I said in a decisive voice.

My eyes were filled with tears of anger and shame.

I thought that I had already stopped loving the man who sent me to prison, but now I still found him irresistible.

"In that case..." Patrick slowly walked to me with Alpha's aura.

I, now a rogue, couldn't stand the pressing intimidation of Patrick's aura and lowered my head.

Patrick lifted up my chin and continued, "Gloria Carter, I hope you enjoy your time in prison for killing the woman I love. I've heard they hate blondes in prison."

I gathered up my strength, looked into his eyes, and said, "Alpha Patrick, so what? I haven't accepted your rejection. I am still your mate. I am still the future Luna of the Black Thorn Pack..."

“You..”

"Time's up, officers," I said to the uniform waiting on the side.

They warmed up and pushed me away from Patrick.

"No, you can't take her away! I'm not done here!" He sounded a bit vexed, trying to pull me back.

One of the officers said to him, "I'm sorry, Alpha Patrick, but the law is the law. She has to go now. She has to report to the prison by noon."

"Now who's trapped?" I smirked at my mate while walking away with the officers.

I expected that Patrick would go wild.

But, no.

He regained his cool and said in a deep, calm voice,

"You will regret not accepting my rejection today, Miss Carter."

Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Patrick walked away after he finished his words.

He was taking revenge on Gloria. Gloria looked pale, and she could not utter a word.

Soon, the werewolf guard took her away and locked her up in the prison underground.

Prison life was not easy. On the first night, Gloria was pulled up while she was asleep.

"What do you want?" Gloria looked warily at the werewolves who surrounded her with malicious smiles.

Gloria said in horror, "Don't get any closer, or I'll call the guards."

The werewolves were not scared at all. They looked at each other and laughed.

Their leader pointed at Gloria's face and said, "What did you say? Call the guards? Did I hear you right? You want to call the guards?" As she spoke, she slapped Gloria's face and roared, "Go ahead and call the guards!"

Gloria lost her balance, and her ears buzzed.

She pressed her hand against the wall and managed to get up. Then, she made a sudden move.

She slapped the leader.

For a moment, there was silence in the cell. No one expected Gloria, a frail-looking werewolf, to have the guts to fight back.

The burly werewolf was driven mad by the slap. Her eyes were red as she shouted, "Fuck! You bitch! Beat her! I'll cripple you! Alpha Patrick said that we didn't need to show her any mercy. Spare her life, we can beat her as much as we want!"

Gloria was shocked. She felt a sharp pain that went from her heart to her limbs.

She roared in her heart, 'Patrick! Patrick told them to do it!

Patrick asked them to beat me!'

Gloria trembled; her heart froze.

That was why the guards didn't come to check on them after making such noise and these werewolves were so fearless.

Gloria looked up at the werewolves. She stood up and ran toward the gate.

She clenched the iron bars on the door and shouted, "Help! Help! They beat me!" Though she knew that no guards would come, she still pleaded for help. Her actions were futile.

Gloria thought there might be the slightest chance that Patrick would not let the werewolves bully her.

She still had faith in Patrick that he would not be so cruel to her.

Suddenly, Gloria screamed. Someone pulled her hair. She stumbled and fell to the ground.

She had never been in such a sorry state.

Then someone pulled Gloria up. The werewolves kept beating and kicking her. She was groaning on the ground miserably.

She wanted to shift, but she couldn't.

After being rejected by her mate, Gloria's wolf was sad and weak and unable to help her to shift.

The guard did not come. So, she realized that Patrick had indeed asked them to beat her.

She stopped shouting, giving up fighting back those werewolves. Laughter echoed in her ears.

Gloria asked for help, not because she feared being beaten, but because she still had faith in Patrick.

After they got tired of beating her, they went to sleep.

Gloria lay on the ground in pain, her tears streaming down the corners of her eyes.

She had never been bullied like this and had never been so embarrassed.

She fell in love with Patrick, her mate, chosen by the Moon Goddess.

But why did she have to bear Patrick's wrath and hatred after Gabrielle was killed?

After the incident, Gloria said to everyone around her, "I didn't hurt Gabrielle."

No matter how hard she tried, no one believed her.

She told people that she didn't ask Gabrielle to go to the other side of the Shadow Forest. It was Gabrielle who was curious about the place where rogues lingered and asked her for an adventure.

In others' eyes, Gloria was Alpha's daughter, proud and bold, while Gabrielle was sweet, obedient, and timid. So how could Gabrielle have volunteered to go to such a dangerous place?

That day, Gloria's car broke down just as she was about to meet Gabrielle, so she was late for their appointment.

But no one believed Gloria. Everyone thought she was lying. They believed she tricked Gabrielle into going to the Shadow Forest and paid the rogues to humiliate and rape Gabrielle.

Gloria didn't need to do that because Gabrielle often said, "Gloria, I don't have feelings for Patrick. He is not my mate."

If Gabrielle was Patrick's mate, Gloria would stay away from Patrick. But she was Patrick's mate.

The rogues probably knew that they were in great trouble, and fled without leaving a trace. No one knew where they went.

The country is vast. They could be hiding in any place.

Gloria wanted to catch those rogues more than anyone else.

She wept in silence. After the incident, she was sent to the werewolf prison. But she insisted that she was innocent and had not committed a crime.

But now, she realized that she deserved to die, as long as Patrick believed her guilty.

What happened today was all Patrick's plan.

Gloria didn't know that in her upcoming prison life, there would be more "Alpha Patrick's orders" waiting for her.

Patrick erased all the records of Gloria's life, including her relationship with the Silver Spring Pack and her educational background...

The current Gloria was just a criminal locked up in the werewolf prison.

After thinking everything through, Gloria wrapped her arms around her knees and curled up.

Patrick had wiped off every trace of her life.

The next morning, someone pushed Gloria rudely.

"Hey, wake up. Go clean the toilet..." A female prisoner screamed in fear. "She is dead!"

A bolder female prisoner rushed over and placed her finger under Gloria's nose. After a while, she felt Gloria's weak breath. "Quiet! She's still alive! Call the guards!"

Gloria was still alive.

That may not be a good thing, though. More humiliation and torture were waiting for her, which would drive her mad and make her a different person.

Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Three years later, a skinny woman tottered on the street with a ragged plastic bag in her hand. She kept a few dollars and her identification card in that bag.

She was pale and bruised. She also has a three-centimeter scar on her face.

Three years, and everything had changed.

Gloria's lips curled slightly. Yeah, after three years, things changed. It was not just about the world outside the werewolf prison.

She had changed too.

Where could she go?

She didn't belong to any pack and lost her identity in human society. As a rogue, she was too weak to survive among other rogues.

Then, a job advertisement from a shop nearby caught her eye.

She stood before the job advertisement. She looked at it for a while, and her eyes finally fixed on the words "Cleaners wanted" and "Accommodation and lunch provided".

Gloria gritted her teeth and walked into the club named Fittro. As soon as she entered, she shivered. The cold air from the central air conditioner made her tremble.

"Name," The woman behind the counter spoke impatiently.

"Gloria," she answered with a hoarse and unpleasant voice. Her voice scared the gorgeous woman, holding a pen in her hand.

The woman almost dropped the pen. She asked Gloria in an unpleasant tone, "What's wrong with your voice?"

After three years of terrible prison life, Gloria learned to be obedient. Though the woman asked so bluntly, she still managed to answer in a calm tone, "It was caused by smoke."

The gorgeous woman was a little surprised, and her probing eyes fell on Gloria's face. "You mean, a fire?"

"Yes, a fire." After saying that, Gloria lowered her eyes.

Someone had set the fire deliberately.

Seeing that Gloria would say no more, the pretty woman ceased to care. Her brows furrowed. "That's not good. Fittro is no ordinary club. Our guests are VIPs."

She glanced up and down at Gloria again, displeased. She despised Gloria since her dress looked like a sack on her.

Fittro Club was not a place for the common man. Even the waitresses here were hot, good-looking young women.

How could someone like Gloria think of applying for a job there?

The gorgeous woman stood up and waved her hand at Gloria. "You can't work here. You're not even qualified as a waitress." Then, she turned around and was about to leave.

"I only want to be a cleaner."

Gloria's muffled voice, echoing through the office, stopped the woman.

The woman paused, turned around, and raised her eyebrows. She looked at Gloria from head to toe. "I've never seen a girl in her twenties willing to work as a cleaner."

However, Gloria said calmly, "I would love to be a call girl if I'm qualified. But I know how I look. At least, I can still do some cleaning work."

She thought, 'I was sent to prison as a murderer. I'm released now, and dignity means nothing to me anymore.'

Gloria laughed at herself inwardly.

The gorgeous woman was surprised and looked up and down at Gloria again. She returned to her desk, picked up the pen, and filled the form. "You're hired."

She paused for a while. Then, she looked up and warned Gloria, "Do you know why I made an exception and hired you?"

The woman didn't expect a response from Gloria, and she continued, "Gloria, I agree with you. Accept your fate and do what you are capable of. Many people are twice your age, yet they still don't get it. You choose to face reality and see what you can do. I'm sure you also know what you can't do."

Gloria did not answer and just looked at the woman quietly.

The beautiful woman looked at Gloria and sighed, "You can call me Christine from now on. Gloria, I have to tell you, Fittro Club is not an ordinary club."

Gloria could sense that Christine was a werewolf through the smell, so she understood what Christine meant. Apparently, Christine thought she was a human.

Anyway, Gloria had a job now.

She was no longer Alpha's daughter of the Silver Spring Pack. Instead, Gloria was a cleaner who had just been released from prison.
