Chapter 1

Absurd

Pain!

Celica Savill woke up feeling as if a bulldozer had run over her.

Instinctively, she rolled over and suddenly found herself face to face with a cold and handsome man.

Startled, her breath caught in her throat. Her pupils dilated, and after a few seconds of confusion, her memory came rushing back.

She had been drugged at the graduation party of the wolf pack last night, and while trying to escape, she accidentally entered this man's room.

Last night, his pupils were as black as ink, radiating a wolf-like, bloodthirsty glint, and his sharp claws effortlessly tore through her clothing. His entire being exuded the excitement of a predator cornering its prey.

The man's lips pressed against her neck, and his fangs bit down fiercely, causing Celica to cry out in pain. However, she could hear the wolf within her body howling with excitement, completely immersed in the joy of impending mating.

The man emitted a strong, primal scent of pheromones. His partially revealed clothing showcased his muscular chest and perfectly curved waistline.

He showed no mercy, casually removing her panties and planting delicate kisses all the way down. His tongue slid over her lower abdomen, suckling her belly, and then descended to her womanhood.

Celica was startled and instinctively raised her hips in an attempt to escape. However, the man pressed her back down, and a slippery sensation from below reached her, causing her eyes to widen involuntarily.

His tongue rapidly flicked over her, teeth gripping the flesh of her clitoris. Under his stimulation, Celica surrendered herself completely.

She helplessly grasped the man's hair, her body arching like a bow. As Celica's body convulsed suddenly, a rush of fluid gushed out.

At the sight of her in this state, the man smiled with satisfaction. He then unfastened his belt and thrust his throbbing erection into her.

"Ah…" Celica couldn't help but cry out, her voice rising seductively.

The man continued to thrust forcefully, each time deeper and harder than the last.

Like a relentless beast, he tirelessly ravaged her body.

After what felt like an eternity, when she was on the verge of exhaustion, the man on top of her finally showed signs of slowing down.

Together, they reached a climax, embracing each other and drifting into a deep slumber.

At this moment, the man remained asleep.

Celica gritted her teeth, endured the pain, and carefully got out of bed. As she looked around, the room was in complete disarray, her clothes torn to pieces. Helplessly, she picked up the man's white shirt and put it on before leaving quietly.

Shortly after Celica left the hotel, Nathaniel Hyde woke up, finding the person next to him already gone.

Only the disarray in the room and the specks of red on the bedsheet were evidence that he had indeed been with a woman last night.

He squinted his eyes, his keen sense of smell trying to detect the scent the woman left behind last night. However, the woman's scent had faded significantly in the air, indicating that she had left some time ago.

As the Alpha of the Snowwolf Pack, Nathaniel suffered from a peculiar ailment since childhood. He was hypersensitive to the scent of other she-wolves, which would cause him to break out in hives and have difficulty breathing whenever he came into contact with them. Consequently, no woman could get close to him.

He rarely made public appearances, leading to rumors, and the most absurd of them all was that he was unable to sire the next Alpha for his family.

Nathaniel believed he was cursed by the Moon Goddess, Selene, condemned to a life without his own Luna. However, the unknown woman from last night was an inexplicable miracle for him.

He remembered her scent being exceptionally sweet, and when he approached her, the wolf inside him roared with excitement, "Mate! She's our mate!"

With little hesitation, Nathaniel picked up his phone and called his assistant, saying, "Come over right away."

Soon, Nathaniel's assistant, Remus Stone, appeared in the suite.

"Check the surveillance and find the woman who entered my room," Nathaniel ordered Remus after getting dressed.

"A woman?!"

"Is there a problem?" Nathaniel's tone turned frostier.

Remus was taken aback. He remembered the CEO's extreme sensitivity to women, causing him to break out in hives upon their proximity. They had sought treatment abroad for three years to no avail. Why would he want to find a woman now?

"None, sir." Remus dared not show any doubt in front of the CEO. Just as he was about to act on the request, he heard Nathaniel's cold voice say, "Summon Wyatt to my office."

…

It was nearly 9.00AM when Celica returned to Hyde Estate.

As she watched the servants cleaning the courtyard, she halted her steps.

She hadn't returned all night, which would undoubtedly lead to gossip and speculation.

Amidst her hesitation of whether to avoid them, the butler approached her. "You're back, Mrs. Hyde."

"Yes."

At this moment, the butler noticed that Celica's clothes were unusual, and the scent on the clothes seemed somewhat familiar, but he couldn't quite recall who it belonged to. "Mrs. Hyde, your clothes…"

Celica confidently tugged at the man's shirt she was wearing. "I just bought this. Not bad, right?"

As long as she didn't show any unease, the butler wouldn't dare question further.

Although the man's shirt was oversized, it was just the right length, reaching Celica's mid-thighs, accentuating her slender and straight legs.

At that, the butler responded with a hum, feeling he might have overthought the situation. So, he chose not to elaborate further.

With that, Celica straightened her back and walked toward the second floor of the house.

The butler glanced back at the spot where she had disappeared into her room, then turned and walked to an unoccupied corner.

In the bathroom of her room, Celica immersed herself in the bathtub to relieve the pain in her body.

She closed her eyes and recalled the events of last night. "Ah, I swear to Selene! This is infuriating!"

She swore to find out who drugged her and make them pay!

Thinking about last night's events, Celica clenched her teeth even harder, knowing that this matter couldn't be blown out of proportion, for her husband, whom she had been married to for three years but had never met, was due to return from abroad in a few days.

If he were to discover her infidelity and the news reached the Savills, it would spell big trouble.

While she was feeling overwhelmed, a knock on the door by the butler interrupted her thoughts. "Mrs. Hyde?"

"Yes?" Celica composed herself and responded.

"Mr. Hyde—"

"He's back?" Her expression tensed.

So soon?

Chapter 2

Divorce

"No, Mr. Hyde's lawyer has arrived, and he wishes to see you."

Why would his lawyer come at this time? Celica wondered, then slowly got up to get dressed.

Meanwhile, the lawyer, Wyatt Lind, sat on the sofa in the living room with two sets of documents and a Montblanc fountain pen placed on the coffee table in front of him.

She walked over and sat on a nearby couch, asking, "Mr. Lind."

"Mrs. Hyde, this is from Mr. Hyde." He didn't waste time and directly picked up the documents on the coffee table and handed them to her.

Celica accepted the documents and, on instinct, felt that they held something significant.

As she opened the folder, her eyes fell on the large letters at the top of the document.

"A divorce agreement? He wants to divorce me?" The sudden news left her both surprised and puzzled.

"Yes." Wyatt nodded. "After you and Mr. Hyde end your marriage, you will not be required to return the 50 million that the Savill Family gave you as compensation."

"Is he serious?" Celica still couldn't believe it.

Three years ago, the Savill Family was on the verge of bankruptcy, and Celica's stepmother, Mindy Walden, conspired with her heartless biological father to send her to the Hyde Family in exchange for their 50 million.

She had expected it to take five or eight years to escape the marriage with the Hyde Family, but it only took three years to get a divorce?!

"Yes." Wyatt nodded. "Mr. Hyde has already signed it."

"Why does he want a divorce with me?"

"Mr. Hyde didn't say."

"Alright, then." Celica quickly turned to the last page and signed her name next to Nathaniel's. Although she had no idea why he wanted a divorce as soon as he returned, she didn't want to inquire further. After all, it was his decision.

This worked out perfectly for her, granting her freedom, and the Savill Family had no room to object. It seemed that Selene still looked out for her.

After the lawyer left, Celica happily prepared to go upstairs and pack her things to leave.

A servant suddenly hurried in from outside and said, "Mrs. Hyde, Madam Hyde is here."

Upon hearing this, Celica turned around and looked toward the door to find Genevieve Good, a woman in her fifties who still maintained her elegance, walking gracefully into the room.

Under Celica's gaze, Genevieve took the main seat on the living room couch, then slowly lifted her head and locked eyes with the young woman.

"What's making you so happy?" Genevieve appeared displeased at Celica's joyful face.

"I'm happy because Nathaniel and I are getting a divorce, and from now on, I won't be living here," Celica replied.

Genevieve had always looked down on Celica, who came from the Silvermoon Pack. From the first day Celica entered the household, Genevieve insisted that the young woman address her as "Madam Hyde" as the servants did.

Celica had no fondness for her husband's domineering and arrogant mother. After her response, she promptly climbed the stairs.

A hint of surprise crossed Genevieve's face, clearly not expecting that her son and Celica were getting divorced, which would make her visit seem unnecessary.

"Stop right there!" Genevieve collected herself and called out sternly as she saw Celica about to leave. After all, she was already here, and the Hyde Family's reputation had to be upheld.

"I came here today to ask if you have betrayed my son."

Celica blinked, turned to look at the displeased Genevieve, then glanced at the butler. Curling her lips, she calmly replied, "There's no such thing."

Celica didn't feel guilty about it. Firstly, she had never met Nathaniel, so there was no emotional betrayal. Secondly, she was also a victim.

"Still not admitting it? Go to her room and find the proof!" Genevieve clearly didn't believe Celica's words.

"Madam Hyde! You're violating my privacy!" Celica objected.

Genevieve sneered and slapped Celica's face, saying, "You, who the Snowwolf Pack bought, have no right to talk back."

Upon hearing Genevieve's instructions, the household servants quickly went upstairs to search Celica's bedroom.

Soon, they found the men's shirt that Celica had not yet had a chance to deal with and handed it to Genevieve.

"What is this?" Genevieve held the shirt, her face darkening as she questioned.

"It's a shirt dress I just bought this morning," Celica calmly continued.

She was determined not to admit to this, as it would undoubtedly lead to consequences for the Savill Family at the hands of the Hyde Family.

Although the Savill Family didn't matter to her, it would cause trouble for her mother.

Seeing that Celica remained composed, Genevieve almost doubted whether she had wrongly accused her. However, she was holding a man's shirt in her hand. Upon closer inspection, there was even an intricate N monogram at the collar, clearly a high-end custom-made piece.

Chapter 3

Her Name Is Celica Savill

Upon hearing this, Genevieve's anger flared, and she stood up, approached Celica, and slapped her face once more, leaving it red and swollen.

"You're still denying it, huh? Celica Savill, not only have you betrayed my son, but you're even using our money to support some man out there, aren't you?!"

Genevieve had never considered Celica as part of the Hyde Family because she already had Luna in mind. As soon as Nathaniel recovered from his illness, she planned to kick Celica out. In Genevieve's eyes, Celica had no right to be a part of the prestigious Hydes.

Celica touched her swollen face and hadn't expected that Genevieve would create such a dramatic story based on a shirt. She calmly looked at Genevieve and said, "I've been with the Hyde Family for three years, and Nathaniel has never shown any interest in me. Besides, people abroad have always been more open-minded, so if we're really talking about betrayal, I'm probably the one who's been hurt the most."

"You!" Genevieve couldn't stand anyone questioning her son's integrity. She raised her hand to slap Celica again, but this time, Celica easily caught her wrist.

"Madam Hyde, you're the elder here. I'll accept your two slaps, but let's not forget how I joined this family in the first place. If this situation gets ugly, neither of us will benefit from it."

Back then, she was forced into the Hyde Family. If it weren't for the Savills using her mother against her, Celica would never have willingly become the Hydes' puppet for three years and protected Nathaniel from all the gossip and criticisms.

"Are you threatening me?" Genevieve's eyes widened in anger.

After three years, the innocent lamb Genevieve thought Celica was turned out to be a fierce wildcat.

"No, I'm just offering a friendly reminder." Celica smirked and released Genevieve's hand. "If you have no other matters, I'll take my leave."

With that, she went upstairs, packed her belongings, and left.

...

In the CEO's office of Hyde Corp, Remus knocked and entered, walking directly to Nathaniel, who was sitting on the couch. "Mr. Hyde, I've found it," he said while handing his boss a file.

"Her name is Celica Savill. I've done some research. She was at the wolf pack graduation party yesterday. It seems she was drugged and ended up in your room."

Remus immediately dismissed the suspicion that Celica was intentionally placed there by someone else.

It sounded like a story of Alice falling into Wonderland.

Nathaniel remained expressionless, flipping through the file, which included a set of photos.

Although the evening light was dim, the camera captured the woman's delicate face. Her exquisite facial features were captivating, and her figure was curvaceous. Her full breasts accentuated her top, creating a rounded curve. Her slim waist seemed like it could be held with just one hand, which reminded him of the passionate scene from last night when he held her and embraced her passionately.

Seeing Nathaniel's gaze lingering on the photos, Remus' complexion worsened. He cautiously added, "Mr. Hyde, there's something you may need to know."

"What is it?"

"This Celica Savill, she's married." Remus almost bit his tongue as he spoke.

Having worked closely with Nathaniel for many years, he knew how rare it was to find a woman who didn't trigger his boss' allergies. It was like a scientist discovering a second Earth in space.

Then again, Nathaniel had a germ phobia. A married woman... probably wouldn't do!

Sure enough, Nathaniel's expression turned grim instantly, and the air around him grew icy. His amber wolf-like eyes were filled with displeasure, and he exuded a dangerous aura.

Remus secretly wiped away some cold sweat. After all, I was only speaking the truth.

Buzz...

Suddenly, Remus' phone rang at an untimely moment. It was a call from the Hyde Estate.

The assistant instinctively looked at Nathaniel, who seemed to silently approve.

Quickly, he answered the call, and after a brief two-second conversation, he hung up.

Remus looked at Nathaniel with hesitation once more. "That was Hyde Estate, sir. They said Madam Hyde has taken some people to the estate and is causing trouble for Mrs. Hyde. Madam Hyde claimed that Mrs. Hyde is...is having an affair." Remus spoke somewhat nervously.

Chapter 4

Already Signed

"Mr. Hyde, do you need to go back and check on this?" Remus asked when Nathaniel didn't respond for a while.

"No need," Nathaniel replied. A woman who had no real significance in his life wasn't worth his time and attention. At the same time, he handed the documents in his hand to Remus without any emotion. "Take care of these."

"Yes, sir," Remus acknowledged, recognizing that Nathaniel was in a bad mood. Without further ado, he left the room.

Nathaniel adjusted to a more comfortable sitting position, cleared his thoughts, and quickly immersed himself in his work.

Knock, knock!

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

"Come in!" Nathaniel said.

"Mr. Hyde, Mrs. Hyde has signed the divorce agreement," said Wyatt as he entered. He handed over the divorce agreement that Celica had signed.

Nathaniel was slightly taken aback, recalling that he had instructed Wyatt to handle his divorce matters earlier that morning. He accepted the divorce agreement and flipped through it.

"No trouble?"

"None."

The marriage between him and the Savill Family's daughter had been orchestrated entirely by Genevieve. He had agreed to the marriage for one reason only—to fulfill his grandmother's wish to see him married before she passed away. Now that his grandmother's health had improved, he had no further need for that woman.

Nathaniel had no real recollection of his three-year nominal marriage, not even his so-called wife's name. However, as a businessman, he remembered that the Savill Family had taken away 50 million from him when they married their daughter to him. Furthermore, during these three years, they had reaped significant benefits from the Hyde Family.

He had expected the divorce process to be more demanding. Still, the Savill Family's willingness to comply with the divorce had caught him somewhat by surprise.

"Celica Savill?" Nathaniel paused in his thoughts as he reached the last page of the document. The delicate signature of the woman caught his eye.

"Her name is Celica?" Nathaniel raised his gaze, looking at the lawyer with a hint of confusion.

"Yes, Mrs. Hyde is named Celica," Wyatt replied, not understanding why Nathaniel was asking but providing the answer.

With Wyatt's confirmation, Nathaniel's eyes darkened with an inscrutable look. At that moment, he recalled the words Remus had spoken earlier.

The next second, the unrelated pieces of information suddenly connected in his mind, forming a complete narrative.

"The agreement is void," Nathaniel said, his cold eyes slightly darkening, and he issued the next instruction.

Wyatt was a bit puzzled, but before he could inquire further, Nathaniel handed him the documents. He rose from his seat, heading toward the door.

"Remus," Nathaniel called.

Remus was stationed outside and immediately pushed open the door upon hearing his name. "Yes, sir?"

"Get the car. Go to Hyde Estate."

"Yes, sir." Remus, though unsure about the sudden change of plans, obeyed the command.

…

After leaving Hyde Estate, Celica returned to her dorm room. She was close to graduating from college, and her roommates were mostly out on internships, seldom returning. She enjoyed the solitude. As she lazily lounged on the couch for a short nap, her phone, placed on the coffee table, began to ring.

Celica opened her eyes and glanced at her phone to find it was a call from the Savill Family. She didn't want to answer it, as she knew that for them to call at this time meant they had probably found out about her divorce from Nathaniel. However, the phone continued to ring persistently.

With a frown, Celica finally gave in to the relentless ringing and answered the call, her reluctance evident in her voice. "Hello?"

"Where are you? Get home now!" Her father, Edward Savill, shouted angrily through the receiver, the fury in his voice clear even without seeing his face.

Celica moved the phone slightly away from her ear and asked icily, "What's the matter?"

"What's the matter? Are you really asking what's going on? Don't you know what you've done?" Edward's voice was almost ear-piercing. "You have one hour to get home!"

The way a father would yell and curse like this would certainly dishearten any daughter. However, Celica was already used to it. "I have classes in the afternoon," she replied with an even more indifferent tone.

"Don't waste your breath if you still care about your mother!" Edward was furious, and after saying that, he hung up the phone abruptly.

Staring at her darkened phone screen, Celica forced a slight smile. Her father, Edward, had a habit of using this particular tactic, and unfortunately, she was very susceptible to it. She couldn't help it, as her mother was her weak spot.

At that, her doe-like eyes dimmed.

Her mother, Hermione Zeller, was never dominant. In Celica's memory, this woman had given her all for the Savill Family. But Edward had an affair when he was on the rise. When Celica was just five years old, he brought his lover, Mindy Walden, home, along with their child, a three-year-old Olivia Savill.

For Celica's sake, Hermione chose to endure and left the family with nothing. But Hermione's sacrifices and kindness did not earn her any favorable treatment. Instead, she faced manipulations and schemes from Edward and his lover time and time again.

Three years ago, Hermione ended up in the ICU due to illness, requiring a substantial amount of money for her treatment. They used this situation to manipulate Celica into marrying into the Hyde Family in exchange for 50 million to save the Savill Family's business.

Thinking about this, Celica clenched her fists. This family is filled with demons who want to destroy me completely!

Chapter 5

Disgusting Drama

Celica returned to Savill Residence. As soon as she entered the house, Edward's angry words came flying at her. "So, you're finally willing to come back, you rebellious girl!"

"Wasn't it you who asked me to come back?" she retorted.

Unable to assert any superiority or authority as a father over his daughter, he immediately bared his sharp teeth in frustration. Without thinking, he grabbed a teacup and threw it at her with great force.

The teacup missed its target and shattered on the floor. A few shards flew, cutting Celica's delicate, snow-white hand, leaving a noticeable but not-too-deep wound. Her hand started to bleed.

However, she didn't react to it; she didn't even frown, and her tone remained indifferent as she said, "You called me back just for this? You've scolded me, so I'll be on my way."

With that, she turned and made her exit without hesitation.

"Alright, Edward, calm down. Don't forget the objective," Mindy interjected. She had been watching the whole scene with amusement.

"Stop right there!" With Mindy's reminder, Edward remembered the reason for calling Celica back and immediately suppressed his anger.

At that, Celica halted her steps.

"I heard that Nathaniel divorced you?" Edward asked.

"You heard right," Celica replied, turning to face her father.

Her confident response provoked him, making his blood pressure rise. "You little wretch! You will return to the Hyde Family immediately, no matter what it takes. You must not leave!" he ordered.

He knew that the Hyde Family was a lucrative alliance, and if they lost the Hyde Family's support, they would likely disappear from Lakeshore.

"Huh, do you think I'd be foolish enough to fall into the same trap twice?" Celica found Edward's words amusing.

"Cece, you know our family can't survive without the Hydes." Mindy, who had never liked Celica, had to put aside her differences in the face of their shared interests. She spoke in a pleading tone.

"What does that have to do with me? I'm not a Savill," Celica replied. Ever since Edward had betrayed her mother, she had severed all ties with the Savill Family from the depths of her heart.

Mindy, noticing Celica's unwavering determination to ignore the Savill Family, subtly tugged at Edward's sleeve, conveying her message through her eyes.

"Very well, I'll call and stop your mother's medication right away." Edward eventually resorted to exploiting Celica's fatal weakness.

Several years ago, when Hermione fell seriously ill, she required a high daily medical cost to sustain her treatment. To make Celica obedient, her father always used the threat of stopping the medication as leverage.

She was in no position to pay such high fees now, so this tactic usually worked against her. However, this time, she just shrugged her shoulders and said with a hint of helplessness, "What do you make of Nathaniel Hyde?"

Then, she furrowed her brow and continued, "Some fool who allows himself to be manipulated by you guys time and time again?"

With her casual tone, the expressions on Edward and Mindy's faces changed.

Yes, initially, the Hyde Family had intended to marry Edward and Mindy's daughter, Olivia. But Mindy couldn't bear to let her daughter marry a short and unattractive man. That was why she drugged and sent Celica over instead.

"I don't care; you figure it out yourself," Edward responded stubbornly.

Celica couldn't help but roll her eyes. "I don't have any solutions for you. I was kicked out of the Hyde Family by Nathaniel himself. Unless he comes and gets me, I will not return to that Hyde Family," she argued while she celebrated inwardly, for there was no way Nathaniel would set foot in Savill Residence.

However, Celica's happiness didn't last more than a second when an anxious-looking servant hastily entered, reporting, "Sir, Madam, someone from the Hyde Family has arrived."
