Chapter 1

My Life

Isabella Hart’s footsteps quickened as she darted through the thickening woods, the familiar path to the pack house now shadowed in the fading light of dusk. Dinner preparations would have started already, and if anyone noticed her absence, she’d be in serious trouble. But she couldn’t help it. The sharp cry of a pup from the eastern border had pierced through the forest like a blade, and her instincts had taken over.

She hadn’t thought twice. She never did when someone was in pain.

By the time she reached the border, the scent of rogue wolves lingered in the air—foul and metallic—and her stomach churned. Her heart clenched at the sight of the young pup, bloodied and trembling, his flank torn open. She dropped to her knees beside him, her hands moving without hesitation.

No one knew what she truly was.

Even she didn’t fully understand it.

But from a young age, Isabella had been able to heal. With just a touch, pain would fade, wounds would close, bones would mend. She never questioned it—not really. She believed it was a gift from the Moon Goddess, a sacred power meant to be used quietly, selflessly.

She pressed her hands over the pup’s wound, whispering softly. A gentle warmth spread from her palms, weaving through torn muscle and broken skin. In seconds, the bleeding stopped. The pup’s breathing evened out. He blinked up at her, dazed but no longer in pain.

And just like that, she vanished into the shadows.

No one could know.

If they ever found out, they’d ask questions—questions she didn't have answers.

She ran back toward the pack house as the sky began to darken. The rogue attacks were growing more frequent, more vicious. The Night Howl Pack’s borders were weakening. Her father, Alpha George Hart, was losing control. His warriors were exhausted, their numbers thinning after each raid. Now she had heard her father, Alpha George Hart, was planning to ask for help from the neighboring packs.

When she finally arrived at the pack house, there was a strange silence—the kind that came right before a storm. Isabella quietly made her way to the kitchen, head down, but froze in her tracks when she saw someone blocking her path.

She slowly looked up and met the furious eyes of her mother, Linda Hart—Luna of the Night Howl Pack.

"You little brat, where have you been?" her mother screamed, her voice sharp with rage. Without warning, her hand lashed out and struck Isabella hard across the cheek.

Her eyes burned, a mix of physical pain and emotional hurt stinging her as her mother continued.

"You know the Alpha and warriors will be here for dinner any minute, and you're out sneaking around on your little escapades?"

Tears streamed down Isabella's cheeks, but she couldn’t tell her mother the truth.

“I’m sorry, Mother. I’ll cook right away,” she whispered, quickly hurrying into the kitchen.

She had to prepare the entire meal alone. No omega was allowed to help her. Though she was the Alpha’s daughter in name, her status in the pack was no better than an omega.

What she couldn’t understand was why her parents treated their daughters so differently—why they hated her, yet loved her older sister Jessica like she was a precious gem.

She was quick to finish cooking, just before the pack members and warriors arrived. After serving them their food, she glanced back at the large pot—only to find it scraped clean, with nothing left but crumbs and a bit of mess stuck to the bottom. No one—let alone a beggar—could eat that. But after healing the pup and taking on his pain, her body was drained. She felt weak and dizzy. She needed food, something—anything—to keep herself on her feet.

With no other choice, she gathered the scraps from the used plates and swallowed them down. Her wolf growled in protest, but her stomach snapped back.It was food… and right now, that was enough.

Once the kitchen was cleaned, she moved on to her next task—preparing the bedchambers for the Alpha and Luna. But just as she stepped into the hallway, she froze.

Her father’s voice echoed from the study.

“The wedding will take place in two days. And the only change is… the bride will be Isabella. She’s the one who will marry the ruthless Alpha Killian Nightbane.”

Her heart stopped.

What?

Chapter 2

The Most Feared Alpha King

Isabella couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

They were discussing her marriage—without even asking her.

Panic surged through her as she pushed the door open and blurted out, “I won’t marry Killian Nightbane!”

Her father's head snapped toward her, eyes darkening. “What did you just say?” he growled, his voice laced with the full force of his Alpha command.

It was the voice that made warriors tremble, made pack members drop to their knees in submission. But for some reason, it never worked on Isabella. Not when she was a child. Not now.

And today, once again, she stood tall—unaffected.

“Please, Father,” she said, her voice cracking as she stepped forward, eyes glistening with tears. “Don’t do this to me. I’ve waited my whole life for my mate. I’m going to be eighteen next month… I’m so close. I just need time. I can’t marry someone who’s not my mate.”

Her father’s expression didn’t change. Cold. Distant.

But it was her mother who scoffed, venom dripping from her words.

“You really think a cursed she-wolf like you has a mate? Your wolf didn’t even bother to show up—because no one would ever accept something as weak and pathetic as you.”

Her wolf stirred within her then—not with rage, but sorrow. She rarely surfaced when others were around, choosing silence and stillness over presence. Isabella didn’t understand why. It made people talk. Made them think her wolf was broken. Cursed.

But no matter what they said, Isabella never blamed her. Her wolf was a part of her. And if protecting her meant taking all the blame alone—so be it.

“Then why would a powerful Alpha like Killian Nightbane accept me?” Isabella asked softly, her voice low but steady.

She had heard the stories. Everyone had. Killian Nightbane was feared across every pack. The most powerful of all werewolves. Ruthless in battle, cold in leadership. The future Alpha King of the entire werewolf community, and soon to take a seat on the High Council.

But despite his rank and strength, his morals were anything but noble.

He was a heartless monster—a known playboy who lured she-wolves with his looks and charm, used them to warm his bed, and discarded them if they dared to ask for more than a night.

Isabella didn’t want to be with a beast who hadn’t even respected the bond of a mate enough to wait.

“Listen, you little brat,” her father growled in irritation. “I need protection for my pack, and they need a bride for the future Alpha King. The council demanded he settle down before the crowning ceremony. It’s a simple deal.”

Isabella’s heart sank. “And you… sold me off?” she gasped, her voice trembling. “But… shouldn’t it be Jessica marrying him? She’s your firstborn.”

“Come on, sis,” Jessica chuckled, her tone laced with mock offense. “Do I look like someone who would marry a mad, murderous playboy Alpha? No way. I already have my mate—and I’ll only ever marry someone charming, like Alpha Hunter Knight of the Blue Moon Pack. No one could ever compare to my mate.”

Her smug tone dripped with superiority, each word meant to make Isabella feel small, pathetic, and unlucky.

“Don’t be so selfish, Isabella,” her father snapped. “You can at least do this much for your pack and your Alpha. It’s time you repaid the favor of them keeping you all these years.”

Isabella stared at him, stunned.

Favor?

Wasn’t it a parent’s responsibility to care for their child? To protect them? When did that become a debt she had to repay?

Her mother’s voice followed, calm but laced with pressure.

“Our pack needs this pact to secure his protection. If you back out now, we won’t survive the next attack. And maybe… maybe the Alpha King himself will kill us for defying him. So think carefully, Isabella.”

Isabella lowered her gaze, heart heavy. She didn’t want this. But she also couldn’t bear to see her people die, not when she could stop it. No matter how much it cost her.

With a deep breath, she swallowed the lump in her throat and whispered,

“All right. I’ll marry Alpha Killian Nightbane.”

Chapter 3

His Offered Bride

*Blood Moon Pack*

Killian Nightbane—the name alone was enough to strike fear into the hearts of even the bravest Alphas.

At the age of twenty-three, he was the most powerful Alpha Prince in the entire werewolf realm. Deadly handsome, impossibly strong. So feared that even the Alpha leaders of neighboring packs bowed before him without hesitation. It was said that no one dared to look him in the eyes and lived to see the next sunrise.

They didn’t call him “Death” for nothing.

Another warrior collapsed to the ground in the training field, groaning in pain. Killian had defeated him in just three steps—swift, brutal, and effortless. He’d even given the warrior several chances to strike first, to test his skill. But it made no difference. Despite being the best in his academy, the young fighter couldn’t even land two punches.

“Pathetic,” Killian growled in frustration. “Train harder—if you want this pack to remain the strongest.”

Disgusted, he wiped the sweat and dust from his arms and chest, tossing the towel aside carelessly.

That’s when it hit him.

A scent.

A wicked smile curled across Killian’s red, full lips as he took two swift strides, following the intoxicating scent trailing behind the thick tree trunk. With one effortless movement, he snatched the scent’s owner before she could tease him further.

Maya let out a gasp, startled by his sudden appearance—but she couldn’t be blamed. Killian’s speed was faster than a heartbeat, quicker than thought itself.

“Here,” he growled, his deep voice rough with lust as his dark eyes roamed over her naked body. “Hiding from me, little one?”

“If I wanted to hide from you,” Maya purred, arching her back against the tree and dragging a hand through her hair in a deliberately slow, seductive motion, “I wouldn’t have stripped off every piece of clothing and come here, my Alpha.”

Killian’s gaze darkened, his chest rising with a deep, primal breath. “Fuck,” he growled, his voice like gravel, “you could be the death of me, baby.”

With one swift motion, he tore off the boxer shorts he still wore from training, his powerful body already bare except for that last piece. Like all warriors in training, he wore only boxers—to allow freedom, full movement, and the rawness of power during combat.

In the blink of an eye, he was before her, pressing her to the tree and shoving his huge, long cock into her heat.

“Yes! Yes! Alpha, give it to me. Come inside me,” Maya moaned, and her cries drove him crazy. But he knew the consequences of getting her pregnant without marriage— the pup wouldn’t be recognized as his heir and wouldn’t be accepted by the pack.

“Wait for our wedding, baby,” he groaned as he drove into her mercilessly, the way she liked it—hard, rough, and deep.

She was the only one for him, the woman he would marry and make his Luna. Ever since she had found him lost and fatally wounded by rogues in the dark forest and saved his life, he had sworn to make her his wife, his Luna, and his forever.

“Then mark me, Alpha,” she cried as she reached her orgasm.

Killian’s eyes darkened, and his heartbeat quickened as painful memories surged back — memories of his father, broken and crying out in agony when his mother rejected him after finding her fated mate. She had walked away from both Killian and his father without so much as a backward glance. Killian had witnessed exactly what a mark could destroy, the way it could shatter a wolf beyond repair. From that day, he swore an unbreakable oath: he would never mark his Luna… no matter the cost.

So Maya’s demand to be marked only fueled his frustration. He pulled out of her in fury, cumming all over her torso and breasts, jet after jet spurting out of his throbbing dick.

Maya’s tired face showed disappointment, but he ignored her.

“Get dressed and return to the pack house. I have to meet my father for the morning meeting,” he ordered as he shifted into his wolf form and ran away.

After a long run to cool his mind, he returned, took a shower, and got dressed in a button-down shirt and dark denim jeans before heading to meet his father.

He knocked on the door before entering his father’s room. As he stepped inside, he saw his stepmother, Luna Grace, her father’s second mate, handing a cup of tea on a saucer to his father, Alpha James.

“Alpha. Luna,” he greeted them with a respectful bow. They were his parents, but the honor due to their titles came first. The pack always came first — he had been taught that since childhood.

“Killian, have some tea with me,” Alpha James offered, settling into a chair with one leg crossed over the other in a relaxed manner. He gestured for Killian to sit across from him.

“No, thank you, Father,” Killian replied, then added, “You said you wanted to see me urgently.”

“Yes,” James said, his expression turning serious. “A pact proposal has come from the Night Howl pack.”

Killian’s eyes sharpened with focus as he listened intently.

“They want protection and are offering the Alpha’s younger daughter in return. And you,” his father said pointedly, “need a bride before you can take the throne.”

Killian’s expression darkened with fury.

“You know that’s impossible. I love Maya — I will marry her and claim my inheritance,” he declared ruthlessly.

“That’s not possible. A she wolf with no background cannot be our Luna — the queen of the werewolves. We need royal blood, and this pact is the perfect opportunity,” his father dismissed him coldly.

“Bullshit. Their younger daughter is said to be more fragile than a wolfless, weak omega. She isn’t worthy. I will marry Maya, and that’s final,” Killian said with authority, rising to his feet and striding toward the door.

“What is this nonsense, Killian? I know she saved your life years ago, but we have already compensated her greatly. We gave her shelter in our pack, and she is treated like royalty despite having no background—no knowledge of her former pack or her parents. You can care for her for the rest of her life if you wish, but making her your Luna is madness. You neither remember the face of your savior nor her scent. Just because you opened your eyes and found her sitting beside you, you believed she was the one who saved you? I cannot believe a she-wolf like her could rescue you on her own,” Alpha James argued with his stubborn, love-blinded son.

“For me, it’s her,” Killian declared in his cold alpha voice. “She risked her life to save mine, and I gave her my word. I will not break my promise, Father.”

Alpha James clenched his jaw. He knew his son was rigid — the immense power he held only made him more rebellious. However, there were rules to follow and responsibilities to uphold as a king and leader.

“Then forget about my title and the throne,” Alpha James roared. “I’ll pass my position to your younger brother, Arthur, rather than give it to an unfilial son who is too selfish to think about the pack and the realm!”

Killian’s hand froze on the door handle, his body trembling with fury. That title was his—since the day he was born, the entire pack had seen him as their Alpha and addressed him with respect. No one could take that title or his pack away from him.

Slowly, he turned around and growled through clenched teeth, “Fine. You win. I’ll marry whoever you choose for me.”

Chapter 4

Goosebumps

The day had come for Killian and the warriors of the Blood Moon Pack to leave for the Night Howl Pack—to bring home a bride he didn’t want. His mood was already foul, but he had no choice. If he refused, his father would threaten—again—to strip him of his inheritance.

A sharp knock on the door made his irritation spike. Seething with anger, he yanked it open, only to find Maya standing there. Her beautiful face was twisted in fury, eyes blazing.

“What the hell am I hearing, Alpha?” she bellowed.

Killian scowled and turned his back on her, striding back into his room in silence. Maya stormed in after him, her footsteps echoing her rage.

“You… you’re getting married?” she demanded.

Killian didn’t respond. He calmly buttoned the collar of his white shirt and began wrapping the tie around his neck, forming the knot with practiced ease.

“So, it’s true,” she said, her voice cracking with hurt. “Your reputation as a playboy outweighs my love. You’re throwing me away after using me.”

Killian’s jaw clenched. In a flash, he closed the distance between them with a speed that seemed to defy light itself, their faces now inches apart—his eyes cold, yet burning with suppressed emotion.

“I’m not throwing you away, Maya,” he gritted out in a low, menacing tone. “But I have to go through with this marriage—for my pack’s sake.”

“So the pack means everything, and I mean nothing?” she asked between sobs, her eyes brimming with tears.

“You mean so much to me, Maya,” he said, looking into her eyes for a brief moment before pulling away and walking over to the vanity table to fix his tie. “But no one—no one—is more important than my pack or my duty as their Alpha. I need a bride to claim my position, and that’s all this is. This marriage means nothing else to me.”

“Then marry me instead,” Maya pleaded desperately, her voice trembling.

“You know my father would never allow it,” Killian replied, his tone cold and indifferent as he looked at her through the mirror. “Just let this happen… and I promise, I’ll make it up to you.”

“What if she comes between us? What if you… forget me after having a wife?” Her lips trembled, her deepest fears pouring out.

“That’s never going to happen,” he growled. “No one has the power to stop me from doing what I want. If she dares to come between us, I’ll make her regret it—with her life.”

He threw on a black tux, and after pressing a brief kiss to her forehead, “I see you later, my love.” And he walked out—his face blank and unreadable.

The door clicked shut behind him.

Maya sat down on his bed, wiping her tears before dramatically rolling her eyes—just as a scheming smile began to curl on her lips.

“I’ll make your life hell in this pack—so much that you’ll regret marrying my Killian… whoever you are, you bitch,” she hissed under her breath.

When Killian walked down to the grand hall of the pack house, his father and stepmother were waiting for him—alongside his nineteen-year-old half brother, Arthur, and his eighteen-year-old half sister, Rose. His best friend and Beta, Ethan, was also there, dressed sharply in a tuxedo as his best man.

Arthur and Rose would stay back in the pack with Luna Grace, while Alpha James and Ethan were to accompany Killian, along with a group of trusted warriors, to the Night Howl Pack.

Killian didn’t stop to greet anyone. He strode directly outside where a sleek car was already waiting. The others followed him in silence.

After a few hours' drive, they reached the Night Howl Pack. The entire place was beautifully decorated with flower garlands and strings of fairy lights to welcome the Alpha King and his heir. It was a grand occasion.

Alpha George personally came out to receive them and led them to the wedding hall, where the entire Night Howl Pack had gathered to witness the rare and historic event—the wedding of Alpha Killian.

To the pack members, it felt like a miracle. A rare and honorable moment. But Killian’s instincts were sharp, and something felt… off. He gave Ethan a subtle signal and mind-linked his warriors to stay alert at all times.

“You’re overthinking things,” Ethan muttered in a complaining tone. “It’s your wedding day. Come on, relax for once and have a little fun.”

“Shut up, Ethan. You know we’re not here to enjoy ourselves. We have a purpose,” Killian snapped at his best friend.

“Yeah, the very noble purpose of getting yourself a bride,” Ethan muttered under his breath, rolling his eyes.

Killian turned to shoot him a murderous glare, but Ethan quickly offered a sheepish smile, rubbing the back of his neck.

Killian turned his head back, eyes focused ahead, but just as he took a step forward—he collided with someone.

In the next moment, his arms instinctively wrapped around a soft, delicate body whose very proximity sent an electric jolt through him, goosebumps rising across his skin.

Chapter 5

Unfamiliar Sensation

His cold green eyes locked onto a pair of bright blue orbs, and for a fleeting moment, the world seemed to stop around them.

She blinked—once, then twice—and a soft gasp escaped her parted lips, instantly drawing Killian’s gaze downward.

Fuck. Those lips. So damn kissable. He was already painfully hard just from looking at them. His heart was pounding, and his wolf snarled in his head.

What the fuck was wrong with him?

But suddenly, her expression shifted—terror flashing in her eyes. She began to wriggle out of his arms, and the change made his brows knit in confusion.

Who was she terrified of? Was it him?

But when she struggled harder, he let her go.

She didn’t stay a moment longer. She turned and ran—as if fleeing for her life.

Killian stood frozen, still feeling the imprint of her in his arms.

‘Who the fuck was she?’

The question was growled in his mind by his wolf, consuming every ounce of Killian’s focus—pushing everything else in the world to the side.

"That was Isabella Hart. Your bride," Ethan informed, noticing the eager expression on Killian's face. It was as if Killian suddenly snapped out of a trance. He stared at Ethan, then looked again in the direction where Isabella had disappeared.

*

"Where were you, Bella?" Jessica scowled as Isabella entered the room where she was supposed to get ready for the wedding. Jessica was already there, waiting—and seething.

When Isabella heard someone had gotten hurt in the kitchen, she hadn’t been able to stop herself from going and helping the omega who had been wailing in pain. It took longer than she thought. But what she never expected was to collide with Alpha Killian.

How did she recognize him?

Well, no one had that intimidating cold aura as strong and commanding as the Alpha. The moment she realized that the unknown man she had bumped into wasn’t a stranger—but Alpha Killian, terror flooded her.

More terrifying than that?

That weird, unfamiliar sensation that passed through her when he held her.

What was that?

“Oh, dream girl, come out of your fantasy and return to Earth to grace us with your pathetic presence,” Jessica mocked, snapping her back to reality. “Now, hurry up and get ready. Alpha Killian is already here, and everyone is waiting for the bride. And Father is calling you,” she added before walking out.

Isabella sighed as she looked at her very simple white wedding gown. She picked it up and began to change quickly.

She fixed her hair into a messy bun and placed the veil on the crown of her head. Then she stepped out of the room, noticing a few omegas waiting to accompany her to the wedding hall—not her mother, not her sister. No one from her family.

The moment Isabella stepped onto the ceremonial grounds, her heart skipped a beat. What was usually an open stretch of land near the edge of the forest had been transformed into a majestic wedding arena—large fabric canopies in shades of deep crimson and gold billowed in the breeze, mimicking the structure of a grand hall. Lanterns hung from tall wooden poles, casting a warm glow over the gathering as twilight approached. The scent of pine mingled with the faint fragrance of fresh roses scattered along the aisle.

Her gaze traveled to the raised platform at the center, where her father, Alpha George, stood. His deep voice resonated across the pack grounds, drawing everyone’s attention.

“Today, I have a very important and joyous announcement to make,” he began, his eyes scanning the crowd. “We are honored to be joined by our esteemed guests—Alpha King James Nightbane and his son, Alpha Prince Killian Nightbane.”

A quiet murmur rippled through the pack.

“I am pleased to announce that an alliance has been formed between our packs,” Alpha George continued. “And to seal this bond, Prince Killian will marry my daughter, Isabella.”

Isabella’s chest tightened with nerves. Eyes turned toward her—some filled with surprise, others with silent judgment. She stood frozen at the edge of the gathering, trying to keep her expression and emotions in check. Until now, the entire pack believed Alpha Killian would marry Jessica, but no one ever imagined Isabella would be his bride.

Now that they knew, they feared his fury—if Alpha Killian discovered his offered bride was nothing more than a weak she-wolf, his wrath would be merciless… and every last one of them would pay the price.
