You Are Mine, Omega: Allison's Crush and Ryan's Return

you are mine omega - werewolf romance ebook

Allison Clark wants Ethan Iversen to notice her. She also wants most of Moonlight University to leave her alone. Those wishes pull against each other throughout the first five chapters of You Are Mine, Omega: Ethan is the future Alpha, and being seen beside him is enough to attract an audience.

The opening follows a school crush through family connections, unwanted attention and a fight with consequences. Allison's belief that Ethan might be her mate remains her belief. In Chapter 5, Allison says her eighteenth birthday is approaching and wonders what mate recognition will mean for her.

Content note: Unwanted advances, public embarrassment and a physical fight that injures Allison. Her requests to be left alone matter regardless of the story's romantic framing.

Why Allison keeps her family status private at school

Allison describes herself as an ordinary Omega in Chapter 1, but her father is the pack's Beta and a close friend of Alpha Neil. Teresa thinks that connection should help with Ethan. Allison wants him to like her as a person, without her father's position doing the work.

Chapter 3 makes the wish more practical. At breakfast, Allison tells her father that people at school do not know she is his daughter. She has watched the attention Ethan receives and does not want the same treatment. Keeping her family position private gives her a little control over a place where rank shapes ordinary conversations.

Her mother's friendship with Luna Ella makes that privacy difficult to maintain. The families already share meals and celebrations. Allison can withhold a detail from classmates; she cannot make the Iversens strangers.

Teresa's classroom push creates an awkward first audience

During a combined Brand Promotion class in Chapter 1, Teresa pushes Allison into Ethan. He steadies her and asks whether she is all right. Allison is thrilled, but the surrounding students immediately stare. A moment she wanted to keep personal becomes something other people can interpret.

Her attachment has a history: she remembers Ethan saving her life. The opening does not retell that rescue in detail. It gives enough to explain why his opinion weighs heavily with her, without making his brief kindness in the classroom a declaration of love.

Later, at Ryan's welcome party, Allison overhears Ethan tell Julie that she is not his type. He does not address Allison directly. That makes the scene especially uncomfortable: she hears a judgment about herself while standing close enough to be hurt by it, with no real conversation to answer.

Ryan knows the identity Allison hoped to keep private

Ryan's return introduces an existing family tension. Ethan is Neil's nephew, taken in after his parents died; Ryan is Neil's son. Allison recalls Ryan being sent abroad and knows that his relationship with his father is strained. The opening gives that history before showing the two young men fight.

Ryan's first exchanges with Allison are intrusive. In Chapter 3, he blocks her attempt to leave and asks for compensation after she interrupts him at the party. She tells him to stay away and pushes past him. At school, he uses her full name and later draws attention to her in class.

Allison's irritation is explicit. Reading these scenes as uncomplicated mutual flirting would erase her response. Ryan can recognize her background and notice her feelings for Ethan, yet that knowledge does not give him permission to ignore her boundaries.

A fight reaches Allison before mate recognition does

Chapter 5 places the coming birthday beside a more immediate danger. Allison finds Ethan and Ryan fighting and tries to stop them. She is pushed into a wall, hurts her head and loses consciousness. Both stop when they realize she has been injured.

The chapter never establishes why the fight began. Jealousy is an available reader interpretation, but the evidence does not settle it. What the scene does establish is that their conflict can harm someone standing nearby. Teresa then waits with Allison at the infirmary and takes her home, providing the practical care the aftermath requires.

The birthday gathering brings the Iversen family back into Allison's home before she has resolved any of this. That is where the sample leaves its tension: a private hope, a public rivalry and another meeting she cannot easily avoid. For a harsher school setting where social position controls access to housing and training, the guide to Chloe's first day at Moonriver follows a different kind of campus conflict.
