Love the Wolfless Power Girl at First Sight: Is Tessa Wolfless?

love the wolfless power girl at first sight - werewolf romance ebook

Tessa Sinclair has a wolf: Emma, a rare White Wolf she keeps hidden. In Love the Wolfless Power Girl at First Sight, the family calling her wolfless and the Beta checking her background are missing something the reader sees in chapter 2: Emma helps Tessa heal the wounded Alpha, Landon Thorne.

We meet Tessa on her way home from school, irritated by the attackers blocking an alley. She wants to get past them. Within two chapters, she has fought them off, removed a silver bullet and treated Landon's poison. Her ability is already there; the fun is watching other people struggle to account for it.

What the alley rescue tells us before anyone investigates her

Chapter 1 lets Tessa's actions introduce her. She notices blood, judges how badly the outnumbered man is hurt and handles the first attackers using her bicycle and a kick. She recognizes Landon, but his rank does not make her deferential. Her irritation gives the scene a different tone from a frightened heroine waiting for an Alpha to arrive.

She initially intends to leave. A sudden response when their eyes meet changes that decision. In chapter 2, she returns to the fight and uses teleportation, then takes the unconscious Landon to a university medical laboratory. The rescue requires several kinds of competence: fighting, removing a silver bullet and treating poison. Each one makes the official account of an ordinary, unawakened student harder to accept.

Her reason for avoiding a hospital adds another question. Tessa connects the prohibited silver bullet with a possible organization and wants to avoid old conflicts. That is her suspicion at this stage. The scene does not identify the people who ordered the attack.

Emma is hidden from the other characters

Emma helps Tessa detoxify Landon through a healing light. The narration identifies her as a rare White Wolf who keeps quiet until Tessa calls on her. Readers therefore have direct evidence of Tessa's wolf before Nathaniel, Landon's Beta, starts looking into her background. (Chapter 2)

Nathaniel's investigation produces a file describing a seventeen-year-old student whose wolf has not awakened. Landon questions how that description could fit the person who defeated his attackers and operated on him. Nathaniel says he has checked the information repeatedly. His confidence is useful to notice: checking a widely accepted story again has not made it accurate. (Chapter 3)

  • The reader has seen Tessa communicate with Emma and use her healing.
  • Landon has experienced the rescue, but has not seen everything Tessa did while he was unconscious.
  • Nathaniel's background report repeats the public account of Tessa's limitations.

Those differences give the next conversations their humor and tension. Tessa can offer a casual explanation while the reader understands how much she has left out.

Hayley hides an Alpha rank behind an Omega disguise; Tessa hides Emma from people who think she has no wolf at all. Our hidden-identity comparison looks at how those secrets change the humor, danger and choices in each story.

Has the mate bond actually been confirmed?

Landon says “Mate” during their first encounter. However, his wolf Flex is dormant while he is poisoned, so he cannot check that instinct with him. When Landon asks again in chapter 4, Flex says he likes Tessa but cannot sense her wolf and cannot confirm the bond.

That distinction is easy to lose in a short synopsis. The opening shows attraction and a possible mate connection; the characters still have an unanswered question. It also states their ages: Tessa is seventeen and Landon is twenty-seven. Nathaniel himself raises her youth in chapter 4. Readers should have that context when deciding whether this setup is for them.

The Sinclair family has more to explain than Tessa does

The school confrontation exposes a different kind of power. After Tessa fights the police chief's son, the principal expels her and calls her mother, Lila. Lila starts to strike Tessa before hearing her account; Tessa stops her hand. Being capable of defending herself does not prevent institutions or relatives from treating her reputation as a verdict. (Chapter 4)

Chapter 5 links the family's rejection to accusations from Winona, Tessa's sister. Lila continues to judge Tessa through those accusations. Her brother Cedric, meanwhile, acknowledges that they believed one side of the story and says the truth was never clear. That admission is narrower than a full reconciliation: he has arrived to bring her home, while Tessa still wants distance.

This is a useful opening for readers who enjoy a hidden-power heroine whose abilities appear early. You do not have to wait through a long training arc to see whether Tessa can act. The uncertainty concerns who will believe her, what she chooses to disclose and whether her family will take responsibility. The five-chapter preview reaches Cedric's arrival, so you can judge both the action and the family conflict before continuing.
